The Future Energy Leaders (FEL) of the Nigerian National Committee , World Energy Council (NNC-WEC ) under the leadership and guidance of the Chairman NNC-WEC, Prof. Abubakar A. Sambo organized a webinar that brought together leaders of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria to discuss on how the industry will thrive post Covid-19. The webinar, which held on Thursday 11th June, 2020 has as its theme “Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Sector: Surviving and Thriving post Covid-19” and was moderated by Prof. Wumi Iledare who is the Research Chair at the UCC Oil and Gas Institute, Ghana. The webinar featured Engr. Sarki Auwalu, the Director/CEO of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) as the Keynote Presenter; the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele Kyari as the Lead Discussant; the Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), Mr. Bayo Ojulari as a Panelist; and the Managing Director of First E & P, and Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), Mr. Ademola Adeyemi-Bero as Panelist. The webinar was oversubscribed and well attended by industry leaders, stakeholders, researchers, and the media representatives of more that 50 countries.
