Programme overview
The Future Energy Leaders (FEL) Nigeria Programme is part of the World Energy Council's global community of early-career energy professionals. Through WEC Nigeria, the programme provides a platform for young Nigerians working across energy, policy, technology, research, finance, and related fields to connect, learn, and contribute to conversations shaping Nigeria's energy future.
Nigeria faces a unique set of energy challenges and opportunities; from expanding electricity access and strengthening power sector performance, to leveraging natural gas, growing renewables, and supporting industrial development. FEL Nigeria creates space for emerging professionals to engage with these realities, while benefiting from global perspectives and shared experience.
The programme is built on the belief that sustainable energy systems are shaped by people, collaboration, and long-term thinking — not just infrastructure and policy.
Member benefits
FEL Nigeria brings together young professionals working across Nigeria's energy ecosystem; including power, oil and gas, renewables, regulation, finance, research, and technology. While connecting them to the wider global FEL network.

FEL Nigeria is designed for early-career Nigerian professionals who are already contributing to the energy sector or related fields and are ready to grow into leadership roles.
