Ms. Aisha Farida Katagum

Mrs. Aisha Farida Katagum is an accomplished Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of distinguished experience in Nigeria's oil and gas industry, predominantly with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd.
She began her career with NNPC in 1987 and held numerous strategic leadership positions, including Manager, Sales, Planning and Budget; Executive Director, Storage; Group General Manager, NNPC Shipping; and Group General Manager, Supply Chain Management. In these roles, she played a pivotal role in strategic oil trading, sales, and logistics, significantly strengthening the nation's energy security and supply chain efficiency.
Mrs. Katagum possesses extensive expertise in corporate procurement, logistics, and cost management. She successfully achieved a 30% reduction in contract costs through strategic renegotiations during the COVID-19 pandemic and led significant improvements in contracting and procurement processes, aligning them with global best practices while promoting transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
On 10 August 2021, NNPC appointed Mrs. Katagum as Group Executive Director, Corporate Services (GED, CS), making her the first woman to hold this prestigious position. In this capacity, she provided strategic oversight of the Human Resources, Engineering & Technical Services, Public Affairs, Information Technology, and Supply Chain Management Divisions, as well as the Security and HSE Departments, driving organisational efficiency, innovation, and enterprise-wide transformation.
Mrs. Katagum is an alumna of Bayero University, Kano, and received her professional training with the Akintola Williams Audit Firm. She has also participated in numerous international executive development programmes, further strengthening her leadership role in NNPC's transformation into a modern commercial energy company under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
Throughout her career, Mrs. Katagum has served as Chairperson and Director on the boards of several NNPC subsidiaries and joint venture companies, including NNPC Retail Ltd., NIDAS Marine Ltd., NIDAS Shipping Services Ltd. (Cyprus), NIDAS Shipping Services Agency (UK) Ltd., NIKOMA Shipping, NNPC Pipeline and Storage Co. Ltd., NNPC Pension Ltd., NNPC HMO Ltd., NNPC Properties Ltd., and NNPC LNG Ltd.
