Mr. Bala Wunti

Mr. Bala Wunti is a distinguished Nigerian energy executive with more than three decades of experience in petroleum engineering, upstream oil and gas operations, strategic investments and corporate leadership. Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in shaping Nigeria's upstream energy industry through operational excellence, commercial innovation and strategic stakeholder engagement.

During his tenure at NNPC Limited, Mr. Wunti held several senior leadership positions, most notably as Group General Manager of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS). In this role, he oversaw Nigeria's upstream investment portfolio, managed strategic partnerships with international and indigenous operators, and championed initiatives that enhanced production performance, investment value and operational efficiency.

A petroleum engineer by training, Mr. Wunti is widely recognised for his ability to combine technical expertise with strategic business leadership.
