Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi is a seasoned public sector leader, energy policy expert and administrator with extensive experience in energy planning, sustainable development and institutional leadership. As Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), he leads the nation's foremost agency responsible for strategic energy planning, policy coordination, research and the promotion of sustainable energy development.
In his role at the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Abdullahi provides strategic direction for national initiatives that advance energy security, improve energy access and support Nigeria's transition towards a more diversified and sustainable energy mix. He oversees programmes that foster innovation, strengthen energy efficiency, promote renewable energy deployment and enhance collaboration between government, industry, academia and development partners.
