Prof. Wumi Iledare

Prof. Wumi Iledare is an internationally respected petroleum economist, academic and energy policy expert with more than four decades of experience in research, teaching, industry advisory and strategic policy development. As Professor Emeritus of Petroleum Economics and Executive Director of the Emmanuel Egbogah Foundation, he has made significant contributions to advancing knowledge, governance and sustainable development across Nigeria's and Africa's energy sectors.

Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Iledare has held academic, advisory and leadership positions at leading institutions, earning global recognition for his expertise in petroleum economics, fiscal systems, energy policy, resource governance and sustainable energy development. His research and policy contributions have informed governments, regulatory institutions, international organisations and private sector stakeholders on issues relating to energy security, investment, market reform and the energy transition.
